Our Story
We are food innovators and creators. When we started Mighty Bite Protein, our goal was to challenge the stigma that condiments make food unhealthy. Why not dress your meals with something that not only enhances flavor but also boosts nutritional value? That’s exactly what we did with our BBQ sauce mix, and we plan to expand our portfolio to offer a wide variety of options for customers to enjoy. After all, why sacrifice flavor for health when you can have both?

Why is the protein sauce created as a powder and not as a liquid/sauce from the start?Whey protein is stable in liquid for only a limited time. Over weeks or months, especially in a non-refrigerated BBQ sauce, it can begin to break down due to: Hydrolysis (water breaking down protein bonds) Bacterial growth (if not properly preserved) Separation issues (whey might clump or settle over time)
-
Can I use the powder as a seasoning or dry rub?Our product is designed to be mixed with water to create a protein-packed sauce. While it is safe to consume the dry powder, we don’t recommend using it as a seasoning or dry rub. The flavor and nutritional profile are carefully crafted for sauce preparation, and using it in other ways may lead to unexpected results.

Do I have to use water to mix with my protein powder? You don’t have to use water to mix our protein powder packets—feel free to get creative with milk, yogurt, or anything else you like! That said, we’ve found that water brings out the best flavor in our opinion. Try it out and see what works best for you!

How is cooking with Mighty Bite Protein Sauce?Yes, you can cook with the sauce—whether in the oven, on the stovetop, or even on the grill! It works great as a finishing touch or to coat ingredients before baking. Just keep in mind that high heat can affect the texture and flavor of the protein, and may slightly reduce the nutritional benefits. What Happens When Protein Powder Is Cooked? When protein powder (especially whey isolate) is exposed to high heat, a few things can happen: Texture Change: It can become thicker, grainy, or clump if overheated. Flavor Shift: The flavor may mellow out or become slightly nutty or "cooked." Nutrient Impact: The protein remains intact up to about 160–170°F (71–77°C). Above that, it can begin to denature. But don’t worry—denatured protein is still usable by your body! It just changes how it looks and feels, not how it's absorbed. Best Practice: If you're using the sauce in a cooked dish, try adding it toward the end of cooking or use it in a lower-heat environment (like baking under 375°F or finishing on the grill). This helps preserve the flavor and texture you want.
